Thursday Thoughts - Fill In The Blanks

Galatians 4:7
“Doesn’t that privilege of intimate conversation with God, make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you’re also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance”
Who are you? Do you know? Have you wondered?
You could start by saying that you’re a son, but maybe you’re a brother, sister, or a cousin as well. You may be a student, but you might be a computer geek an athlete or perhaps you sing act or play an instrument. You might be a friend, employee or volunteer. You are many things, but you started as someone God created.
He made you. Every part of you. Knowing who God says you are is an important part of knowing who you are, and what you are meant to be, and do.
God doesn’t give you a fill in the blank kind of life. Don’t ever think he says, “ ______grew up and became a _____and went to_____and did what he wanted every day of his life.”
No God is faith’s Author. He knows your story and he doesn’t leave any detail out. He knows what you’ll say. He knows what you’ll do. He knows where you are now, and he even knows where you want to go.
No matter what you want to do or even choose to do, God has a plan that includes a life story without blanks. He can fill in the spots that seem unknown to you. He doesn’t resort to guess work, and he never makes things up on a spur of the moment basis.
God can’t be taken by surprise there isn’t any part of your story that takes God by surprise. He can take your circumstances and make them good.
You need to know who you are before you know that what you believe is true. You are someone who has broken God‘s laws, and you’ve rebelled against the very life God planned for you.
I know this because the Bible tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. That’s who you are, but think about who you could be. You don’t have to keep rebelling. You could accept forgiveness and a place in God’s family. You could be obedient to God‘s word, and follow after His plan of redemption and salvation. You could start living a life that is fulfilling and full of joy. You could! You should! Will you?
