I'm New

Welcome

Visiting a new place for the first time can be pretty intimidating. What will it be like? What time does it start? What should I wear? What’s available for my kids? We hope we can answer some of your questions. Feel free to contact us with further questions. We want to make sure you are informed and comfortable as you visit the United Pentecostal Church of Bourbon.

UPC of Bourbon is a warm, welcoming place. The people that make up the UPC of Bourbon come from all walks of life and they love their church! We promise you will meet a smiling face and a new family of people whom you can live out your faith with.

When Do we Meet?

Sunday

10 am

Wednesday

7:00 pm

Do I need to Arrive early?

You may want to plan to come a little early, especially on Sunday mornings if you have children who will be attending Sunday School. Our friendly usher and hostess staff will be happy to assist you in finding the right classrooms for your children.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

We have an ample parking lot beside our main facility. Designated handicap parking spots can be found along North street. Parking is also available in the "old Dairy Queen lot" at the corner of North St and 3rd St.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You will find that the United Pentecostal Church's members and guests will arrive in a variety of styles of clothing, from traditional Sunday dress to comfortable and casual. Typically you will observe that apparel is much more casual on Wednesday evenings.
We don’t require a specific attire, but we do believe that how we dress or don’t dress can honor God. If you choose clean, modest clothing then you will not feel out of place.

WHAT'S AVAILABLE FOR MY KIDS?

On Sunday mornings we offer Sunday School for children ages 2-18.
See our Sunday School page for more information

WHAT WILL THE SERVICE BE LIKE?

Expect a passionate, heartfelt worship service with great music that is both uplifting and reflective.  Lyrics to all of the songs we sing will be projected onto a large screen.  Expect dynamic, practical teaching from the Bible with plenty of applications for everyday life.   After church many people mingle and talk, both inside and outside. If you hang around a little while, someone will soon be talking with you, too!

WHAT'S EXPECTED OF ME?

When you visit the UPC of Bourbon we ask only that you allow us to be your host!
We want you to participate in our services as you feel comfortable. We won’t make you stand and say anything. Our greeters will help you find a seat, if needed, and we will give you an information card to fill out.  Our intention is to make you feel welcome and to see if there is anything that you need that we can assist you with, such as a home bible study or a prayer request.

Other Questions?

If there’s anything we missed on this list, give us a call, contact us via email, or ask someone when you arrive.  We hope your first visit to the UPC of Bourbon will be great.  We know it can be life-changing – not because we are special, but because God meets with us and works in our lives.  We are here to serve Him and to serve others.  That means you and your family.  We are looking forward to meeting you and hope you will feel right at home!  We hope to see you this Sunday! We'd love to hear from you. Fill out the form below to get started.
